I really, really, really need shoes.

I am amazed. I am not 'actioning', but a little over 700 ppl have viewed my Friendster profile from the April Fool's Day till now. Might be standard stuff for some, but this is a new record/madness to me. Proof!

Yet another screen shot. Wahaha. Anyways, crazy innit.

We all know that I, like every other girl with a Friendster account probably does, get weird/stupid msges. I just got this one that's icky and very to the point; "hi there... wanna have sex?"

Ewwwwyuck.

Oh oh, 2 interviews tmr, one courtesy of Kay, and another courtesy of Beeer. Wish me luck.

Nights and toodles!

P.S: I don't know what to wear! Damn do I need shoes.

Was out in town with Sindhu, Suchita and Sha wednesday night.

Mmm.. just realised; I'm the only one whose name doesn't start with an S!

Well aaanyways, I had fun and by the looks of it, we all did. With the slight exception of Sha tho. She had a bad day at work and she's ovulating and all so we sorta caught her in a cranky mood. After eating, she was as good as new tho! *sniggers*

Oh oh oh, we ate at The Manhattan Fish Market at Plaza Singapura, and I had the most gorgeous dish; Manhattan Flamed Prawns. The prawns were flamed right in front of my eyes (not literally), with a thick layer of creamy sauce covering them. And the butter rice was very tasty too. $16.90(excl. GST) but every cent was worth it. So much so that next time I go there, I might have the same thing.

After our seafood meal, our tummies were screaming in agony, but we headed over to TCC for dessert anyways. Sindhu and I shared a tiramisu, and the rest had a Dark Devotion each. Tis a good thing there weren't any guys with us cos if there were, the orgasmic, soulful groans that were let out wldn't have done them any good.

Before bingeing tho, we were at Orchard, and managed to get some neoprints taken! After so long. :-D Sha didn't join in tho, so it was just the sisters and me. Pic time!

This's the one I like the best!

Both of them look so sweet here, and I've got an evil smile on.

This one's not bad lah.

Honestly, I'm not in much of a blogging mood. I think it shows. My post's been as bland as Sanjaya's singing(according to Randy and Paula, if I'm not wrong), except for the pics, ofcos.

So I shall leave with the presentation(with a pretty yucky image of me) of this thingie I got via myheritage.com. It's a program that matches your features to celebrities. Highly interesting. If you're bored outta your skull, it's an amusing way to pass time.

Well, toodles then!

You know that feeling you get when you're rocking your chair, go back a bit too far but catch yourself just in time before you fall?

That's how I feel when you kiss me.

You know how sometimes you crave for chocolates for days but have no time or money to get some? And one day you come home wanting only to go to bed, when you find a pack of Cadbury's on the table? The joy, the genuineness of your smile?

That's how I am every single time I see you.

You know how when a song you like comes on the radio, and you drop whatever you're doing, close your eyes and listen to it? And when it's over you get busy again but still wonder when they'll play it again? Cos that one time wasn't enough?

That's but a small fragment of how much I miss you when we part.

You know the feeling you get when you've been hearing about disasters and evil doings of man all week; that the world is a bad place to live in? Then somebody in your train gives up his seat for a pregnant woman and you think maybe we aren't so bad afterall?

That's how I feel when I hear your thoughts.

You're my exhiliration; my chocolate fix; my favourite song; my hope.

You know how when you're watching the horizon, you know that no matter how much you go towards them, the sea and sky will never separate? And that they will always be that way no matter how many years you live on; kissing each other?

That's you and I.

I'm 2.5 hrs into Friday the 13th! Hope it rains in the evening or later, to bring abt a Freddy-ish mood. Or maybe, the usual howls by the teens who're always hanging arnd under my block shld suffice.

Am up late! Cos, not working tmr! In fact, not working, period. Msg me if you're curious. By the way, I did not get fired.

The walls in my room are white. I've got built-in cupboards that take up an entire wall, and they're white too. My red metal double-decker for 3 takes up a wall and half and another wall is filled by my wooden-framed full-length mirror, brown chest of drawers, and short cabinet stack which is surprise surprise, brown too.

Can you say boring? I sure can.

I'd love to paint my cupboards first, but that'd require a whole set of new colours, which I can't afford right now since I'm living off whatever savings(if they can be called that) I got for the next few weeks. We do have an un-used can of dusty orange wall paint lying arnd that was supposed to be used to sponge a wall in the living room tho. I nvr got arnd to doing it cos I got too tired applying the base coat. Teehee.

So! I'll be doing 2 or 3 of my walls, and will leave out the one my cupboards are built on cos 99.9% of the wall's covered anyway. And, my door's a clean white, which will look real pretty against the dusty orange. Yay me! Too bad I can't do much to my chest of drawers cos they're plastic-coated. Oh, the mirror's gonna be painted too, to compliment the cupboards! And once it's all done, I'll take pictures and show my room off to you suckers!

*laughs evilly into the night*

Anyways, the whole point of going into such embellishments, will be revealed in the next paragraph.

Paintin' party, anyone?

If I were to die tomorrow, what mistakes would you think I have made?

What are the flaws you would find in me? Would you think I might have been alive had they not existed?

Would you think it would have been better if I hadn't existed, at all?

When you don't got it, you don't know what you're missing.

Where would you be now, if I never were?

Where would I be now, if you never were?

Just 20 years on earth. Are they of any significance?

It must be easier to not have existed at all. I guess I wouldn't be able to appreciate the simplicity/complexity of it all without having existed in the first place.

What am I here for?

What's your plan?

Emotions; responsibilities; bad situations; dire consequences. We made the world this way. We've established our general unhappiness.

The world should have been kept simple.

Tis the 31st of March.

Everything is soooo blah lah. It's just been a month working at the bank but I'm bored of the job already. Surprise surprise, I'm beginning to wonder how long I'll last. It's a 1-yr contract, but it's sorta auto-renewed. Unless you got disciplinary/behavioural problems lah, none of which I possess, ofcos. And the contract is such that, after the first 3 months, I can leave if I like; as long as I give a month's notice.

But I don't wanna go looking for another job! Bleurgh.

Also, if I stay on, this job will be a good add-on for my resume. I'm learning new things everyday, which is good. Too bad the stuff I learn don't interest me one bit.

Which asshole came up with the whole concept of banking anyway? I'd like to stuff a few demand drafts up his bony arse.

Now, happier stuff.

I'm out today! The Jayster will be expecting me in town at like, 5. Which means I'll be there at 6. *winks evilly* We'll hang arnd till we meet Babu and Nan later on, and maybe, we'll be going over to Devil's Bar. I was initially against the idea cos altho I just got my pay, and I can afford to club a very teeeny bit, I don't like the idea of spending all the extra cash I have. What if I had a shoe emergency? Or worse, a nail emergency and I HAD to get it fixed right away? But guess what? Devil's Bar's got no cover charge. I sooooo do not mind now.

Oh, I paid my (multiple and never-ending) bills via DBS iBanking. I love the tiny device, and absolutely adore pressing the soft red button to see a new pin appear everytime I do! I am so smart too, as at the end of every transaction, I take a screen shot of it for the transaction reference number. *taps self on back*

I feel soooo cool!

*shakes to that 'I'm too sexy' song*

What shall I wear?

I had the worst night of sleep in ages yesterday.

Wld you believe, I actually woke at like, 4am, to inform my mom that we gotta fill up a form. Don't ask me what form, i have nooooooo idea in hell. And I vaguely rmbr doing it. I tapped her on her arm and told her pretty gravely that the form needs filling up. And she sleepily went 'What?' Hahaha.

It's not even 12 yet, but I think I shall turn in. Gosh. How am I gonna cope with part-time studies?

Where there's a will, there's a way.

But, is the will there?

Oh well.

My thumb nail chipped horribly. :(

I was tugging at my belt yesterday morning and somehow, in my hurry, I managed to bend my nail a wee bit too much. It hurt. *sniff* Was so sad the whole morning.

Listen to me. Ppl are starving all over the world, women and children are getting molested, relatives are dying; and I'm sobbing over my chipped nail.

Well aaanyways!

Fixed it today with shitloads of coats of nail enamel, and 2 hard, patiently applied layers of brown polish, AND a sealing coat of clear varnish. Decided to go all out and do a pattern too! Here:

Before

That's actually some cover-up stationery. It wasn't sticky enough, so I held in together with scotch tape.

After

The scary angle.

Under white light.

Now have a closer yet blurry look.

Quite happy with it. :-D
I suppose I shld blog.

Sunday, March 4, 2007

I just took my very first screen shot! Makes me sound extremely backdated and call me stupid if you like(don't you dare) but I am soooo proud of myself. I figured it out with no help! So what if the keyboard has a button which says 'Prt Scr'? It still takes brains to figure it out, ok?

Hmph.

Ah, here's my masterpiece!

Beautiful, ain't it! :-D

New song! My last dedication, and it's to Ragani. My love! *beams* It was a fight btwn Wish You Were Here by Incubus and Justin Timberlake's. Knowing Ragani's taste helped me decide, so there. Love you, bitch!

I'm employed. Starting on Monday. I am HAPPY. :-D

*beams herself out of the world*

Stumbled across a link to this article at Streetdirectory.com, of all places. Was quite interesting, so here. Brace yourself, it's got quite some length.

Is This The One?

Isn't that the million dollar question? How can I tell if this is the one? Is this one my soulmate? How will I know when I find the right one? There is no magic answer, but I can tell you what seems to work. I asked a psychic one time if a certain person was my soulmate. His answer, "If you have to ask, then he's not the one." He went on to explain that with soulmates no matter how good or bad a day you have together, you wake up in the morning knowing without a doubt that this is the one and you go to bed at night knowing without a doubt that this is the one. Nothing that happens in between those two points can change your mind.

Whenever I find happily married couples in their fifties or older who have been married for most of their lives to each other, I always ask them, "How did you know this was the one?" Every single one of the men answered the same way. They all said that the first time they laid eyes on the girl, they knew in that moment that they would eventually propose to her. For every one of those men it was love at first sight. "But why that one? What made you fall in love with that particular woman at first glance?" Each one answers differently, but they all have a vague unanswerable quality that the guy just knew she was it before they even knew what the girl's name was.

The women all said they thought the guy was nice enough, just okay, or a little goofy but not too bad. None of the women fell head over heels right away. The women were all living a happy upbeat life and were not really searching for a husband when the guy came along. That may be a big part of the mystique that these women created. They were not needy nor desperate. Truth be told all of the lifetime happily married women I know are very strong and independent, but loyal and loving women. None of them are nags nor codependent types.

The thing that all of these couples have in common is that the each one was relatively happy and mentally healthy going about their lives, their goals, and their dreams. All of them planned to some day fall in love and get married to one person for life but none were attached to a soulmate type concept or ideal. None of these people were sexually loose but they weren't complete prudes either. They chose not to sleep around because they had a strong sense of self-respect. Some had religious beliefs that added to the dynamic and others did not. All were of a mindset that you simply didn't whore around for the heck of it.

In all cases, the man chased the woman. You have to remember the deep underlying needs of the male and females of our species. The man must hunt and conquer. If she's too easy to catch, then there must be something wrong with her. Right or wrong, men have a very deep down need to 'win' the girl. They were all upbeat, bright, kind, loving women with full happy lives of their own. None of the women were pushovers and none of the women were easy to 'win.' It was always love at first sight on the man's end, but not on the woman's. The women were not cold and unapproachable, so the men were able to charm them and 'win' them over. All of these relationships had at least a two-year courtship and engagement period. Their eyes were wide open when they said, "I do."

Were they soulmates or just lucky? It depends on how you define soulmates. If you define a soulmate as your cosmic twin, then I'd say no these people were very different types that hooked up and stayed happy together for life. In one example, the woman was a devout Catholic and the husband was just sort of generic Christian. She didn't try to convert him and he respected her need to go to mass every Sunday. No, he didn't become any more or less of a Christian then he already was. They each respected the other's right to be who they were. Nobody tried to change anybody. Who they fell in love with is who they stayed in love with. In another example, he was from an extremely conservative religion and she was very lightly Christian. She completely changed her entire way of life to be with him. She gave up makeup, stylish haircuts, jewelry and sexy clothes to become almost Amish in her life with him. She never regretted it because he was everything to her and she came to agree with his family's religious beliefs. In none of the relationships were the couples a twin copy of the other. Yes, every one of those couples struggled in the first years of their marriage to find a balance between 'me' and 'we'. Every one of those couples had to learn to listen, to compromise, to be fully present in the moment, and to show their love in a way that resonated with the other. However, they all managed to live that elusive 'happily ever after' that the rest of us only dream of.

If you define a soulmate as the right one for you, the one you were meant to spend the rest of your life with, the one specially designed to create 'happily ever after' with you, then yes, they were soulmates. No matter how bad things got, these couples never ever contemplated divorce. They didn't stay together because of a vow before God. They stayed together because they couldn't fathom the concept of not loving the other one. Every morning they woke up knowing they were both in love. Every night they went to sleep knowing they were both in love.

The first time I met Jay, I nvr imagined that I'd be with him, let alone be marrying him later. He was like, a friend with a marvy(and at THAT time, witty :-p) sense of humour, very nice arms and eyebrows, and a good ass. And tho I did have a bit of a crush on him, I nvr thought we'd date; until a week later, WHAM; we were dating. And his proposal(if that's what it was. I merely pondered and agreed to a statement he made. man, was I easy!! wahaha) to be his girlfriend caught me by surprise. Yes, we did flirt here and there, but I nvr saw it coming, you get? Was ready for a comfy movie-watching experience with a friend when I suddenly felt his arm arnd me.

God. Still rmbr, I was like "oh my. what do we have here? is this normal? God, does he LIKE me?"

:-D

I entirely agree with this line from the article tho: They stayed together because they couldn't fathom the concept of not loving the other one. It makes so many things so much clearer.

I got a hong bao! Yippee-doodles. :-D

Oh, and I've downloaded Harry Potter's 1-6, and am absolutely loving the first one so far. Nvr felt the need to read the books cos I'd managed to catch most of the movies. Jay told me I cld actually download books via Bit Torrent (he's my Bit.T guru) and so, to give it a try, I searched for Harry Potter. Downloaded it for fun cos it won't take long anyway, and now, I'm addicted! Got to mid Chapter 7 (The Sorting Hat, how I wanna try that on!) but had to stop cos The Mom was all naggety-yak-yak.

Must finish the book today or my head will burst! And that will be no good, considering my appointment with a prospective employer in the evening tmr.

I love ba kwa!

Monday, February 19, 2007

New song, dedicated to Sindhu this time!

She's my heaven... She's a spark... Yeah Yeaah!

Hehehe!

'Tmr' has come a bit late, yah? Hehehe.

Valentine's Day was yesterday! I had a marvy, marvy time. :) Jay got me a Swarovski pendant, a red heart. It's adorable! Oh, and I did him an oil on canvas, a teeny mounted one. Will try get the pics of those from him later.

Dinner was at Safra Yishun, and the place was lovely! The caterers they hired were like, ok lah. The main courses were the best. The soup was terribly bland tho. But tasted good as I had eye candy to ogle at while I sipped at it. *winks at Jay*

This is what couples generally like to do, if you're not in the know. They 'action' about their own partner, even if it sounds nonsensical. Well at least, they do that the first few years of the relationship, I guess.

Oh, and there was a live band at dinner. Entertaining! Especially since one of the singers sang most of his songs like he was trying to get a really stubborn fart to come out. The speakers were way near the table we chose tho, and it was hard to hear each other. We got to speak lots after, so nvm. :-D

Thanks for such a lovely time, chellam. :-D I probably sound like Sindhu saying this, but this's the best Valentine's Day I've ever had. :-p

Jay's got the pictures! Am receiving them! Yay me!!

Ah, today was good too. Went to 2 agencies at International Plaza and the appointments had a few hours of space in between, so I whiled my time away reading at Secret Recipe. The apple cheese cake I had wasn't fantastic; apples could have been baked(if that's how they cooked it) longer cos they weren't soft enough. The cheese was quite light tho. Finished it last cos it was the best part (yumm yumm). Oh, the hot chocolate was good ah! If I weren't broke, I wld have gotten a vanilla latte to go, but oh well, next time. *sniffles*

After the last appointment (there was a japanese guy at the agency and the accent was adoooorable! 'are you buj(s)y on weekdays?'), it was time to meet the Jayster at Somerset. Ok, now I know which building is Centrepoint, so you shut up and don't action ah! Boyfriends. *grumbles* Aaaanyways, we made our way from there to Queensway Shopping Centre to look for this sort of Adidas shoes the Jay's been eyeing. The Watera series or some shit lah. BOOOORING, I tell you. All the shoe stores are the frikkin same. Different music, slightly different layout, marginal price differences, and varied ethnicity of shopkeepers, but it's ALL THE FRIKKIN SAME. Shoes lining the walls. That's it. God. I was ready to stick my earstud in my eye when we finally left.

Oh, and I'll probably be getting a tattoo there. An eye of Ra(most probably), with no embellishments, just primitive and black. $100! Not bad ah? By this year, I'll be tattooed. Wee! And Jay'll be getting his branded X too. Maybe, if we both wanna do it at the same place, we'll go together. Yay us!!

Picture time!

Jay's gift! Love it. Still wearing it too! :-D Dunno what those marks on my skin are tho. Hope they aren't age spots.

And this's the painting I did for Jay! Being oil-based, it's reflecting Jay's cam's flash lots. Looks better in real, but not a very good painting lah(DUH). Oh, those little ppl climbing the hill are Jay and me! We're rushing up the hill to watch the sunset, which is not visible to us as it is hidden by the hill.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Me giving him a freakish stare while having my appetisers. Hate having photographed when I'm eating actually. :-p

By dessert, I'm used to being captured, and so it shows.

Jay's very own piece of installation art.

He got bored waiting for me to finish up.

He insisted on taking one of me and the car, cos this'll probably be the last time I'll see it. he's getting a new car and can't stop talking abt it. :-D

Us!!

The rest of you attached AND single beings, I hope you had a marvy Valentine's Day too. I know I did! :)

P.S: Been meaning to post some photos up, and so, here they are. Might as well do it in one blogpost lah. I'm posting pics as a post script! Wahaha.

Nanio the freak. She's probably in India by now! Oh well, a month more. Can survive lah. :-p

This one cracks me up.

And this! Haha.

Me! I love this one. I'm vain. I know.

Right, that's it for now I guess. Got some more pics to put up, but later. Back aches!

Toodles!

Sha showed me this song few days ago saying she's driving ppl mad with it. I was initially like oh... yeah, interesting. But now I'm all weeeeeee! It's grown on me too.

Note to the exceptionally stupid: Wait till my background song is done playing before you click play on the video image below. Or, press the stop button on your browser for my background sound to cease playing, and go on to play the video. Yes, like that. Good.

New song, and it's dedicated to Sashi-Sushi!

My phone's temporarily dead on account of having no battery power. I know for a fact that there'll be at least 3 calls missed, but what the heck. If there really is something I need to know, I can be enlightened later.

Sick of carrying a phone, actually. Being constantly contactable irritates the shit outta me sometimes. Then again, having a mobile line allows me a lot of conveniences that I currently cannot do without, especially since I'm on the lookout for a job. Besides, my mom'll freak if she can't nag at me whenever she feels the need to.

A whole week with no work. One whooole week; absolutely unemployed. Crappy-doodle-doo, I really need a job. Bah.

Deadline: End of next week. Realistic? I hope so.
