Quotable Shite
Me: London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down. London bridge is falling down, my fair lady!
Mom(from the kitchen): Good girl! So smart!!! *gushes*
Me: (?!?!?!?) Ah?
Mom: Oh, thought it was Madhu. Haha.

I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J.
Have not blogged for a bit, due to no mood/lack of time. I'm here now though, so I shall make up for the lack of words. :-)
My Friday was spent at the Teo Chew Building, the pretty place near Dhoby Gaut MRT station. There was this Indian Fair going on, at which my sister decided to rent a booth to publicise her arts company. She also held an art competition for kids. The kid's works were soooo adorable! So weird, so warped in shape, and so creative. And lovely, bright colours! Some were boring, though.
The food there was good. There were 5 or 6 stalls, manned by families. All vegetarian! I love vegetarian Indian food. Especially when my mom makes it. Yummm.
Too bad J cldn't come. Last minute change of plans. :-(
I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J.
There was this skinny young man singing hindi songs, doing some weird shakes while at it, which I guess was dancing. That kept me amused for a bit! *evil smile*
Oh, and there was this north-indian middle-aged man helping out at a booth near ours. He kept staring at me. My dad and mom were there, but he kept staring. The nerve, really. Once, when I happened to glance at him, he smiled. I felt soooo uncomfortable throughout. So I left alone, arnd 5. My eyes hurt, and I was way too bored, anyway. I'll be damned if I left solely bcos of a stupid frog.
I went straight to Madhu's house! She welcomed me with open arms. :-D *audience go aww....* It was wonderful being with her alone, without anyone from my family, with the exception of her mother, ofcos. I tiptoed arnd the house, rolled arnd on the bed and thrashed abt among small balls in her little ball house with her. I miss her laughter. :-(
After dinner, I walked home, to find myself alone! The happiness was shortlived though, cos the rest came back in an hour. Oh well, got to listen to my CDs real loud AND dance to them, wearing only a t-shirt. :-D
Yesterday, I woke up to these words: "Madhu's on the way!!" Too bad I cldn't spend the day with her, though, cos I'd to meet J, Shamie, Babu and BB Man at Tampines soon. Oh, I wore a short skirt! After eons of not. The last person to have seen me wearing one was...Melvo, I think. Yep, Melvo, Kay and Char, at the TP singing competition that took place last year. I'm trying to get used to my thighs being fat, cos they're probably gonna stay that way forever! No, I don't believe in liposuction. Ewwwyuck.
So, arrived at Tampines and decided to call Ragani, I owed her a ring anyway. Turns out she was at Tampines interchange! So I walked back to where she was, talked to her for a bit, and went off. Saw Fitrie on the way. She looks prettier! We all have been blooming lately, I realise. *stares into space dreamily* That idiot lost my number, when I still had hers. Hmph. She's got it now, though. So goody. :-)
Reached J at last! Actually, I wld have been even more delayed if I had stopped to talk to Kai Ling whom I caught a glimpse of on the way. She didn't see me, so I don't feel bad. *evil smile, nevertheless*
J looked lovely.
I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J.
It was past lunchtime and he was hungry, so he had chicken bolognese (that how you spell it?) while I had some yummy chocolate mousse, at Pastamania. I had a late breakfast! Shld stop having late breakkies. Must stop eating like a bird. *reprimands self*
Babu and BB Man (Vishnu aka Bare Butt Man) arrived. Half an eon later, Shamie did, then Valentine (yes, his name IS Valentine for real). After some Coffeebean-ing, we made our way to Downtown East, in BB's car. I had to sit on J's lap!!
I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J.
We sat arnd...talked...ate...drank...breathed...farted. Nan managed to arrive at 6 or 7-something. She looked taller! Must have been the full skirt. *sniggers*
Soon, it was 8.30, and I had to leave. Valentine and I got a cab to the 7-Eleven near our homes, while the rest boozed at the beach. Oh, earlier, when they were getting some stuff at Cheers, the cashier asked for Nan's IC! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
So, today's next. Grooming course. Learned how to swish and sashay and twirl and walk and sit. I feel like some bimbo. Nantha and twinnie, shut up!!
Next week's make-up. I don't get why we have to learn how to apply make-up. If we're modelling, there's gonna be some make-up artist at the set for sure. Oh well. *shrugs* I'm chosen to be the make-up demo girl, as in, they're gonna use my face for a demonstration. Pancake make-up. Ewwwwyuck.
My tea's done. Gotta go drain the teabags, add milk and sugar (except for my dad), and serve it to the tea-hungry ppl at my hall. The weather's wonderful, a cup of hot Ceylon tea'd be marvellous. And sipping it with J wld be glorious.
I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J. I miss J.

I'm fully expecting to not get accepted into poly. I know, no use being pessimistic, but I can't help the way I feel. I'm going to come back to this post and read this when I know the results a week from now.
It's not the end of the world and you know that. Go find something else to do. You wanna go forward, poly's not the only way. Life goes on. Think of all the cliches you can. Don't be stupid and weep. Think, think, think.

I've re-done the blogskin I did for Sash a month or two ago! Hope she likes it. Go see! Click.
It's ALOT like my skin. ALOT. Think I'm boring shite.
Oh, the job's not good. Selling charity tickets. What I don't get is, why the fuck did they say 'no selling'?!! I hate that. Hate them liars.
Gtg, gonna pay my phone bill.

Ppl, don't call me on my handphone, cos the line's been disconnected. You can call me tmr though, cos I'll be paying my bill at arnd 6.
I'm so pissed. I don't get why my mom can't pay for me first. It's not like I can't pay her back. Bloody nonsensical independence-inducing shit. Now I gotta pay the re-connecting fees too. Marvellous. Friggin bloody marvellous.
Kit says I'll have my pay in my account tmr aftnn, after 2. I'll be settling the damn bill after work. I'll sms you guys when I do. I'll be home all day today, so, if anything, call my home, ok?
Oh, yes, I've got work. Went for an interview today with Ragani. Starting tmr. It's an events company I'm working for. Ragani's not interested though.
Thanks for coming with me, babe. :-)
Got alot of quotable convos to do, and I'll do them tonight, when I'm in a btr mood.
Oh, and twinnie, sorry I didn't pick up earlier. And if you try calling me now, you won't get through too. Sigh. Call you real soon. :-)

Have not blogged much lately, have I? I've been out quite a bit past few days. Must be why my eyes hurt. Lenses = evil! Bloody pile of poop lenses. Feel like my eyes are on fire, man.
So, wat's new is, I've been talent-scouted, and right now, I'm undergoing a grooming course. I'm being taught how to stand. It feels kinda weird. After it's over, I'll be a freelance model. Photography model. Yep. No catwalks. I'm too much of a short-arse.
My mom's screaming. Gtg.
P.S: To you, who won't be reading this, mind your own business. You've got no right to scream.

So many problems bcos of my blog. Apparently, the worsening of the relationship my sister and I've got, if it can be called that, is not of my concern. So yeah, it doesn't matter anymore, I guess.
Whatever, really. I don't think there's much I can do.
Anywaaaaaaaaays, I'm super-bored staying home. At least I got to catch Bewitched. I just love the show!! Watch some clips here!
They don't take a long time to load on Windows Media Player. She's so beautiful, man. And sooo vibrant. If I ever become a housewife, or at least a part-time one, I want to be just like her! Gotta figure out how to do the perfect hair, though.
Oh oh. This Halloween. I change my mind! I'm gonna be Samantha Stephens! In case some of you doofuses don't get who I'm talking about, she's the lead character in Bewitched, whom the charming Elizabeth Montgomery played. I was planning to be Barbie first. I know, I know, don't laugh! It's just that I've got this short, pretty dress that's extremely Barbie-like. It's after coming across it when I was cleaning my cupboard that I realised how perfect it'd be for a bigger version of Barbie. So the rusty lightbulb in my head flickered faintly, then came on bright, with a loud 'DING'. I was planning to have my hair straightened and dyed blonde.
Shut up, twinnie. I'm NOT blonde enough already! *snarls*
So yeah, I was gonna be Barbie, and I've now decided to be Samantha. I still gotta go blonde. I have clothes that are of Samantha's casual, stay-home style too. Perfect! :-)
Just hope I'm not the only one excited about trick-or-treating this yr. I know twinnie is, but she's gotta get permission! *prays hard* Jay said he's coming, and so did Kishy. Hope they still want to!
Ppl, this Halloween, October 31st, we're going trick-or-treating. You sure as hell wldn't have done it before, so do it now while you've still got an excuse for acting like a fool, that is, youth! Let me know, and we'll be fools together!! *beams*

A family member has been reading my blog. He'll probably be reading this too. Pls stop feeding info about me to my sister, with whom my relationship's already very bad. If you think I'm doing something wrong, pls come talk to me straight. Bcos I know, the idea she's got of me must have definitely gone from horrid to worse than that.
I joke lots here, and say incredibly nonsensical stuff. They are not meant to be taken seriously. This blog's for my friends, for them to keep in touch with me and my thoughts. And they're more suited to understand wat I'm talking about, and whether I'm joking or not. That's why I don't give it out to my family; they won't know how to differentiate btwn wat's a joke and wat's not.
For the record, I DID go to work those 2 days after 'getting fired'. I was not partying elsewhere. I'm not cheating my mom. She doesn't trust me as much as you and sis think. I'm still trying to get some more of it, so pls, don't make assumptions and spoil it for me. And, pls stop publicising my blog to the rest of the family. I'm sure I'm entitled to some privacy.

Okie doke, I've added a hit counter to this blog. It's at the bottom of the box at the right, right below the music video (which I've just changed). I know, 1 yr plus into blogging and it's only now that I've thought of it! I'm starting it from 0.
Oh, Happy Birthday, Jay sweetheart. *kiss* :-)
Gotta go continue drawing now.

That stupid man had his phone off. His battery's probably dead. BAH.
I wanna wish him and I can't! He's probably lying flat drunk on the bbq pit or something. Ok, probably not. Sigh. The first time I'm rmbring a bf's birthday on time and I can't wish him due to something as lame as low battery power. Got phone for wat?! Heard of a charger?! Bah!
Or maybe there's no reception where he is. Bah, I don't know. All I know's I'm disappointed.
*big BIG BEEEEG sigh*

Do you guys know I'm a Malayalee? Ok, lemme rephrase that. Do you guys know wat a Malayalee is? I'm sure most of you don't! Cos most of the ppl whom I mention it to go, "Wait, you're Malay ah?" *rolls eyes*
Malayalees are Indians, just like Tamils, Telugus, etc. We're not Tamil, but we're part Tamil. Confusing? No worries, I shall explain the whole thing to you poor shits.
*ahem*
Way way waaaaaay back, there was this war thingie or some disaster going on in India. At least I think it's India, cos it's the most sensible/obvious choice. So yeah, wtvr was happening, it drove some of the Dravidians (dark skinned south-Indians) to the hills, where it was supposedly safe. And there were some Aryans (light skinned north-Indians) there too. They settled down there, and came up with their own way of life, and language. 'Malai' means hill, so they were called Malayalees. And the language they spoke was Malayalam, which is an interesting mix of Tamil and Sanskrit. And their offspring were/are generally quite fair-skinned.
So yep, that must answer the qn loads of you have asked me, which is, "How come you're Indian and you're not black ah?" Hate it when that happens. Indians are almost nvr black. We're brown. Black is black. But some are very dark. Someone told me that's cos South-Indians were originally from Africa. Mmm. *feels a tribal dance coming*
Back to Malayalees. Their place in India is Kerala, a beautiful state with swaying coconut trees (can they sway, by the way?), aromatic fish curry, marvellous tea, off-white sarees with real gold woven into them, and women with wavy hair. Like mine! It's wavy bordering curly though. I love fish curry, it's my favourite indian dish; and I've GOT to have tea everyday. I'd feel uneasy without some tea in me in the evening. And, I love off-white sarees. Gosh, I feel so Malayalee! *does a Malayalam booty shake*
Y'know, Malayalees have got this reputation, that they're very proud ppl. I am proud to be wat I am, but lots of them go overboard, to the extent of looking down on other Indians, namely Tamils. I don't get it, really. We're a bit Tamil ourselves, and our language is extremely Tamil-based. There's nothing to feel high and mighty about. Pompous weird-assed shits. *shakes head*
Oh, and many ppl hate Nairs, y'know? I'm a Nair myself; Dhanya Nair. It's supposed to be a caste sorta thing. But I take it as a family name. I know quite a number of Nair-haters. And Malayalee-haters. And some of them are Malayalees themselves! Oh, Jay belongs to a Nair-hating family. Ok, 'hate' is a strong word, but Nairs aren't their favourite ppl, get my drift? I hope I won't be snarled at when I meet his family. *shudders*
Omg. It's gonna be 12 in 2 minutes. Jay's birthday!
Toodle-loo!

Quotable Quotes/ Actions/ Convos
Me: You're so lame!
Ragani: And you're with me. How lame are you. *immediately proceeds to trip and stumble at the sidewalk*
-------------------------------------------------------------------
We were sitting at a flight of stairs at TP, and it was a little windy.
Ragani: Want to see the works of the winds? *holds up her Oreo wrapper and waits for the wind to pick up, which it nvr did*
An hour or so later...
Ragani: *holds up another wrapper, the wind picks it up and it sails straight at her face*
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday went smooth, like I said earlier. I've still got my hair on my head, and I've applied for 5 courses. And Ragani was like my P.A. So useful. *nods* I had intended to only pay the application fees and apply online and go home, but this lady there was like, oh, btr to have your forms checked and submitted. So, since I'd already brought my certs and stuff, I did all those. More like, Ragani did those for me. *smiles affectionately* I still gotta mail copies of my certs to them tmr. My mom's refusing to let me do it, and says my dad'll do the mailing for me. No idea why. Well, I don't mind! :-D
Oh oh, business and engineering were under one category, and I had my eyes on Diploma in Marketing/Business/Logistics. Cldn't decide on the 2nd choice, so Ragani decided on Law and Management for me. *sniggers*
Had to go for this Hospitality and Tourism Management interview. We had to go in twos, and I had to be with this chinese girl. She was amazingly all textbook answers, man. I was like, seriously awed. She said stuff like, "It's always pleasant to serve ppl," and "It's important that customers are happy. I'd be willing help them be satisfied." I almost laughed at that one!
Next Monday's my design interview. Gotta add more stuff to my portfloio. Must start drawing and shading and stuff! Means, gtg.
:-)

I didn't go to MOE this morning cos last night, before falling asleep after alot of fretting, I decided I shld call MOE instead. Not the lazy way out! I just wasn't looking forward to going all the way to Buona Vista all by myself in the morning. On a Saturday. *belchs*
So yeah, I called the MOE hotline, and guess wat, I can't apply thru JAE. Like, wtf? I was given wrong info at TP! And Muthu was right all along. Lesson learnt: Listen to Muthu. She always knows wat she's saying.
Wat a waste of my time, fretting over why the system says I can't apply for poly courses and am only eligible for ITE. I almost died of shock, and that's putting it mildly.
Gtg now, gotta be at TP in an hour's time. Yep, I'm going to TP, again. Close to pulling my hair out. Ragani's coming with me though. So yay. :-D
I gotta go apply for more courses through the Direct Admissions Exercise thingamy. Only 2 choices per category, can you believe that? And you gotta pay $7 per category. I've already applied under the design category, and now, gotta do the other 2. So 6 choices altogether. Oh, wait, 5. Cos Hospitality & Tourism Management is a category by itself, and its got only one course choice, that is, Hospitality & Tourism Management. So yeah, 5 choices. Only 5 choices.
I truly hope I get into poly. If I don't, it's gonna be much harder for me. I can anticipate some problems if I get into poly, but I'd love to face those if it means I can study this yr. I've got to start this yr. I don't wanna fall back further, and further.
It's time for my luck to change.

I'm friggin pissed. I went to TP on Thursday, in the morning to apply for courses. Was bloody late for work bcos of complications. Had to go get my bloody SingPass to do the JAE thing, which I was told I can apply through.
Friday, which is today. I went early in the morning again cos I had to go do the JAE thing, and I had to register, then wait 6 hrs before I can actually apply. Since I'm not part of the fresh 'O' Level batch, info has to be put into the system, I guess. I come back home after work, and attempt to do it online, and it screws up on me, saying I'm eligible only for ITE courses. I got 18 friggin points. It's not a marvellous grade but it's not very bad either. I managed to get into a high-in-demand course before and now my only choice's ITE? Bullshit.
Tmr, I'm getting up early and heading to MOE to be helped. Hope it works out. If I don't start studying this yr, I'll probably nvr. I HAVE to study. I hate this uncertainty.
And there's this pisser who's been passing my number arnd. I know who you are. You'll be reading this. Don't do it again, you shit. I'll nail your puny phone-dialling fingers to the wall.

Sash: *says something stupid, which doesn't come to mind*
Me : My ass is laughing lah.
*silence*
Sash: I'm not very comfortable with where this conversation's going.
---------------------------------------------------------
Charlo Barlo's been pestering me to blog this since I told her about it:
I had a friend in primary school, and his name was Tan Ping Pong. Yep, Tan Ping Pong. Oh, and there's a primary school in Singapore, called Mee Toh School.
*shakes head in disbelief, then bursts out laughing*
