November is gonna end. Which means, 2005 is gonna end real soon too. =)

I am so excited! I'm looking forward to the rest of 2005, and more than that, to the beginning 2006 and beyond. I foresee more freedom given to me(by whom else, my mom ofcos), more things to worry abt(what else, $$$$$!!), thinner legs(hopefully), better skin(the sunburn's peeling off), and oh, have I mentioned more freedom?

My mom's been treating me more like an independent person(which is what I hope I'll be in time to come) lately. It feels much btr this way...and I don't have to explain to her exactly where I'm going, with whom, and what specific time I'll be home by whenever I go out. And, she almost nvr calls when I'm out. That is one part I am absolutely freaked out by. Well there is the exception of the time I was stayin over at Nan's...I called her back only at 1am. Stupid, stupid me. She was convinced there was something fishy going on, for which I don't blame her at all. Ahem. *darts eyes*

My family's gonna move, most probably late next year. All my sisters wld have settled into their own houses by the middle of 2006, and that wld leave my parents and me. Can you imagine? There're 8 of us in the house now(including Baby) and pretty soon, there'll only be 3 of us to the whole house.

All I can say is, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

I can't wait for them all to be out[except for Baby though =(] and for my folks and I to move to a smaller place. I'm going to have so much fun! Sure, it'll feel weird having not much ppl arnd all of a sudden, but hey, I can get used to that, with no problems at all!!! :-D

I won't be living in that house for very long though. Cos I'll probably be married in some years. *smiles shyly at Jay* My sisters say that at the rate I'm going, I'll be married next year. Stooopid ladies. *rolls eyes* They've always thought I'll get married early, even before I met Jay...no idea why. It's just something they sorta know, they say. Just like how we knew my 2nd sis will get pregnant immediately after gettin married. And man, was it immediate! We used to call her 'highly fertile individual', and now, we've given her a slight promotion, which is the name of 'Fertility Goddess'. And me, I personally prefer the name 'cow', which she truly hates me for. :-D

Ah, time for work. Till next time. =)

I was having Mrityun baby in my arms this afternoon, rocking him to sleep. I watched his eyes close very slowly while his lashes made slight, fluttering movements. He was finally in slumberland, and I found I cld not take my eyes off his sweet, tender little face. His lids were trembling a little, as he was dreaming. I rmbr wondering what he cld possibly be dreaming about.

He then smiled. The tiniest, most beautiful bloom of smile. The absolute preciousness of it...it felt like a boon to me to have been able to see it.

The unthinkable happened.

I cried.

Me, I'm going bonkers. Somebody call the madhouse for me, pls?
My sister sent me, among her clients/associates, this email:

Have an absolutely
FLAMBOYANT
Deepavali!

With Warmest Wishes,

****** Pte Ltd

And I replied:

Flamboyance? The notion is entirely alien to me as I am sadly NOT deprived of your presence. MUAHAHAHAHA!

Dhanya

And she retorts:

A big 'BYE THERE!' to your nonsense!

All the very best in your pursuit to grow your lips! Ha, ha, ha!

Love,

Vidhya Edathi

Man do I belong to a weird family. *rolls eyes*

Anyways, I got a top today! It's a pretty, green long v-neck with brown lace and some shiny stuff. Here it is!

Jay liked it and so did I, so I got it! :-D Oh oh, and I've been searching for weeks for a big, comfy bag that I can throw things into and carry with almost any outfit. And I FINALLY got it! (yes Sindhu, I did!) Jay did some bargaining for me and got it $2 down. (I love you Jay!!) So, $16 for a bag. Not bad at all!

Halloween's come and gone, and all I did on that day was climb ladders and wipe walls and cupboards. I know, I was all excited abt dressing up foolishly and prancing abt but the thing is, I sorta forgot that Deepavali's the next day. I cld have forced my mom to let me stay out real late(amazingly pathetic, I know) on a normal day but staying out on Deepavali Eve is a big no no cos it's family time. So all I did was bitch to myself(and to Jay) and promise myself that next year, Halloween will be TOTALLY different. Now if the Hindu calendar decides on November 1st again for 2006's Deepavali, I'm gonna hunt them down(whoever they are) and castrate(I'm pretty sure they must be male) them.

I shall move on to brighter stuff!

I enjoyed Deepavali tremondously! It's weird how the arrival of the day always and automatically gives me such a good feeling; I feel warmth and fuzz in my stomach(and it's not just the rum cakes and the baking soda (I have no idea why and how, but this keeps becoming a link to a search for baking soda whenever I publish it. like wtf? is the same for you guys?) in the baked stuff). My sister put up flickering lights at our windows and they looked so pretty! I went to sleep with them flickering away on my smiling face on Deepavali eve. Absolutely love that feeling.

On Deepavali itself, we woke up and bathed and stuff and prayed, and finally got down to eat breakfast at abt noon. You might think it's just a once in a while thing, having a meal this late, but it's pretty normal behaviour for my family, y'know. We always have our meals late, and it's only once in a blue moon that we have them on time. There was once when my whole family sat down to a dinner of pizza and rojak and 1am. Weird shits, yeah?

Well anyways, we had an absolutely scrumptious breakfast of mutton curry and thosai(I LOVE that combo) wihle watching tv. The tv was on the WHOLE day and my mom didn't scream even once, at least, not abt the tv being on. Sweet, eh? So guests came, and guests went, and I spent a very lazy afternoon, waiting for the arrival of night, and ofcos, of Nan and Jay. I'm sorta used to waiting for Nan to come, y'know. I thought I was always late, but my god, she surpasses me by shitloads! I'm almost always late(yes, ALMOST always) but you can be sure(most of the time) that I won't be more than half an hour late. She, however, will be at least an hour late. You might say it's my karma catching up on me, but I don't really mind waiting for her...cos the rewards are great. *winks lecherously*

Jay came first(wearing lovely white cotton pants) at 7ish, bringing wajit with him. I loved it! His mom made it. Time to make friends with the lady, really. Good wajit. *floats in wajit-flavoured saliva* He sat down, and talked to my uncle whom Nan(who came a while later, wearing a gorgeous off-white netty-silky punjabi suit) had apparently worked with once. Small world, eh?

After they had dinner, we hopped over to Babu's place. I like his house; reminds me of the house I had in woodlands years ago. Miss that place. =( Oh well.

I had a really really mini-dinner there, just cld not eat. Too much rum cake! It was nice seeing Genie, Donkey, Babu and Prabu again. Bunch of whackjobs! Umm..very nice whackjobs at that. *gulps*

Nan's been waiting for ages to watch Chandhramukhi and they were showing it on tv, so we we decided to stay till the movie ended. Nan was freaked!!

Aren't you freaked too? Specially for you, Nanio. *smiles sweetly*

Nan and me, at Babu's house. Jay took this pic. I look like I've got something stuck up my arse. (Shut up, twinnie.) Weirdly, Nan looks like she's grabbing my boob.

Ah, there are now a fresh batch of visitors in the house. Gotta go make tea. Toodle-loo!

P.S: Note to self: Plan for Halloween 2006.
