I catch myself smiling for no particular reason these days; weird looks from my fellow commuters are getting so common.

I realise, that I am really happy with my life. And I refer to all classifications of it; the past, the present, the future. My childhood was a very good one, cos I had everything a child needed and more. Also, I'm blessed for not being born mentally disabled, as a baby who's mother was above the age of 35 when he/she was conceived has way higher chances of turning out to be 'not normal', scarily. Hell, I'm bloody blessed to have even been given the chance to be born. My parents actually fixed an appointment for abortion which they (obviously) didn't keep. They weren't in the best position to keep a baby then lah... things were tough. I think I've mentioned this before. Thank god for their soft hearts.

I like my job lots. I actually look forward to going to work!!!! And believe it or not, for the whole month of October, I pulled a sickie only once. And that's cos I WAS sick. Absolute weirdness! Oh, and I will be studying early next yr. It is SOOO decided. I'm sick of trying, trying AND trying to decide what I want to pursue: fashion or mass communications. And I've now made my decision. Mass Comm. I'm looking forward to it so much.

In 3 yrs or so, I'll be marrying Jay. His family seems alrite with me, and according to him, his mom really likes me. Also, Aishu has started actually talking to me. No more shy, worried expressions! :-D

I love where my life is headed. I appreciate the mistakes I made too; quitting poly, quitting jobs, and every other minor and majorly wrong thing I did. Cos it's all somehow gotten me to how I am now, which is happy.

I owe a big part of it to my family, to Jay, my former friends, and the friends I got now. I love you guys so much; you know who you are, and I know how much I mean to you. It's a cliche, but friends forever, sweethearts.

:)
It's Halloween next Tuesday. I won't be partying the night away like I imagined I might, but I'll be 'partying' in the evening at work instead. I love this company and the way they actually bother to celebrate occasions; they shake things up, and that's soooo appreciated!

Was planning to dress up a little weird even before the party was announced, so now that there's actually gonna be a celebration, I'm going all out! Well... almost. It's just an office party, can't make a fool of myself, sadly. Jay suggested I borrow his army uniform and go as a dead soldier. Not a bad idea, I shld say. I'll be getting the uniform from him on Monday BUT, if it does not look the way I want it to look on me, I'll probably be going as an evil Barbie doll. Idea courtesy of Premi. It's easy to dress up like Barbie anyways; a dressy outfit and TONS of mascara with green eyeshadow. Bad-assed Barbie will probably have bigger-than-usual hair and dark eyeshadow, and a gun, a knife, and a few packets of cocaine in her big, bad-assed bag. The perfect excuse to hurl obscenities at the ppl at work! Weeeee!!

But then again, that is IF the army uniform doesn't fit. It'll take a lot less effort to be a dead soldier.

I'm so sleepy, and I'm boring myself so much. This has been SUCH a terrifyingly boring post.

Toodles.

Had a blast on Deepavali! As usual, I have no time to blog proper now, cos I've to be up early tmr; going to Malaysia to visit my relatives on Hari Raya like I do every year. Baby is coming! Weee!!

Sindhu-backside and me at Jay's house. My family was there! All went well. :)

Me, Aishu, Sindhu, Suchi, and Madhu baby!

On the day before, which was Friday, there was a Deepavali/Hari Raya celebration thingamy at work. Everyone was encouraged to wear traditional costumes(encouraged is a mild term. We were warned that those who failed to comply will have, and I quote, 'horrible things done to them') and me being me, I chose to wear a saree! And so I got to be the 1st runner up for the best-dressed competition they held. The winner was Ashraf, and he was called Sharukh Khan for the day. I was Preity Zinta/ Aishwarya Rai cos they cldn't decide. Nonsense ah. :-p But it was sooo fun! Ppl kept taking pictures of both of us, and with us. And they were like, " stand closer lah! We won't send to your bf or gf, don't worry." Also! Before it was announced that he was the winner, we were asked to run around a human coconut tree. Hahaa!

Note the saree. I absolutely love it!

The ladies at work!

ARGH. Mom's screaming.

Toodles!

Oh, and Happy Hari Raya!

ANNOUNCEMENT: I can't tag on my own tagboard. I shall wait it out since it happens sometimes for a few days for no obvious reason.

END OF ANNOUNCEMENT.

---------------------------------------------------------------

The elusive 'later' is here!

I'm gonna let the pictures tell their stories... with some explanations added here and there to aid your understanding, ofcos. They aren't in order of date taken; too lazy to sort and shit, cos I've got work tmr, altho it's a saturday! Sigh. Oh well, it's the only Saturday that the bunch of us are asked to come back on. I shan't complain. Much.

Babies!!

Madhu got sleepy at NTUC.

Birthdays!

Sister no.1's birthday. The cake wasn't done by me, but the icing was. A little lame looking, but it was on short notice; hence, I've got a marvy excuse. Coffee-flavoured royal icing, cadbury's chocolate thingie and roasted almonds.

Sister no.3's birthday cake. We celebrated it 2 days after the actual birthday, at Bishan park. Cake was done entirely by Sister no.1. Nice, ah?

Female monkey at Bishan park. My bro-in-law refused to obey the sign and fed it a banana, after which, the monkey kept eyeing us. I was freaked!

Baby's birthday cake. We celebrated it with immediate family on the actual day, and had a bigger celebration at the Civil Service Club a week later. Sister no.1 also did this cake.

ANNOUNCEMENT No.2: Sister no.1 can make you a cake if you like too. For some cash, ofcos. She's real busy now handling lotsa orders for Deepavali and Hari Raya, and do not hesitate to get her busier; order a cake too! Not a cake like these lah, these are normally for birthdays. You can ask for icing though. Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon, Orange, lots more flavours. Customise your cakes. Email me at anya24@hotmail.com shld you be interested. I'll send you the price list/ order form. And if you know my hp number, call me, ofcos.

END OF ANNOUNCEMENT No.2.

Geethu! The stupidest cousin a girl cld have. =)

It was just Sha and me, a few months ago. We made dinner, and ate it watching Casablanca. *floats*

Close-up. In case you can't decipher it, it says Makkal Inc., with a butterfly in the midst of fluttering.

Woopsay, it's later than I thought it was. Must sleep.

Please expect a continuation... but I can't tell you when it's gonna be, except that it will of a certainty be 'later'. :-p
