Shit, I've got a pinky blog.

I do not want my blog to be so pink/purple!! I didn't realise it till now! Ok, I'm aware of those incredulous stares. I'm so gonna go home and photshop my skin.

Changed my song. Listen to it and you'll realise it's abt this guy almost falling in love with a tranny. I love how weird The Kinks are.

Have you guys had a look at the sky today? It's a stunning blue, like this! And the clouds in it are so soft-looking, I wanna jump on a bird and fly right into them!!

Oh oh, I'll be flying off to India soon. In case you're thinking I was talkin abt the sky and clouds just so I can progress to this topic, you're wrong. I AM lame, but not THAT lame.

So, back to India! We shld be leaving Singapore middle or end August, and my trip shld last abt 2 weeks. I've been wanting to go the past few years cos the last time I was there was so long ago; December 1997. My 11th birthday was spent touring Bangalore and hurriedly travelling back to Madras in a van. My sister and I were at the backseats, playing 'doctor and patient'(not the kinky version ofcos), writing fake prescriptions and signing them off with fake names like Shitothiri Manangkatti. I think Dr.Manangkatti was diagnosed with tummy problems herself.

I'd much prefer going to India some other time, to tell the truth. I've quite a bit to do in Singapore, besides work, like stuff that's got to do with my R.O.M(which's GOD, only 4+ months away?!?!) and some other personal stuff. Plus, I wanted to start on my course asap, but now, for obvious reasons(in case it's not obvious to you, I don't wanna miss 2 weeks' worth of lessons at the very beginning of it), I can't. It being an almost fully sponsored holiday makes it a bit btr, tho. You must be wondering why the hell my holiday expenses are subsidised, especially since I'm a working adult(or so they choose to say at convenient times).

See, the intial plan was that my mom, dad, 3rd sister, her hubby and their baby go on the trip. I guess my mom quite suddenly realised that I'll be home alone that way. So, she insisted that I pack up and stay at this other sister's place while they're gone. I, being the typical Saggitarian who hates restrictions, of which there will be plenty of had I agreed, refused. And there's no way I can stay with my other sister(I SWEAR I'VE A THOUSAND SISTERS), cos there's no space, not even for a growth-stunted rodent to wiggle its whiskers. Ofcos, I absolutely will not be allowed to live alone, not with the rapes and murders happening here. Like that murder of the 18-yr-old indian girl in Ang Mo Kio that I'm sure you heard or read abt yesterday. We're to shift to Ang Mo Kio in a few weeks.

Bleurgh.

I managed to get Muthu to agree to be my housemate for 2 weeks, which my mom considered to be an okay idea. I was all excited abt the fun we were gonna have(Muthu actually went, "But the good kinda fun right?") and was thinking of hosting a mini movie marathon when my mom popped my parade by calling me while I was being given a ride home from dinner with Jay's family and informing me, "It's settled. You're coming with us."

"Ah? Coming with you? WHAT??!"

" You're coming with us lah. No peace for me, leaving you here."

"But I only have 6 days leave now! Like that I must take unpaid leave!! I got things to pay for!! How?!?!?!?!!"

"We'll sort out your money issues later ok. Just know that you're going."

Thanks for the freedom of choice, Ma. Oh well. After working everything out, I've realised that I'll be forking out SGD200 for the whole trip. My mom is gonna pay for absolutely everything else, including my shopping sprees. Now that, is a frikkin sweet deal. I'm most definitely warming up to the idea of taking a few days unpaid leave, cos my mom says she won't be expecting any monetary contributions from me in September since I won't have much to spare. I think she's in a very very generous mood. Probably cos she's glad I'm not putting up a fight.

You guys want anything from India?

P.S: Changed the song! I'm sure I've gotten everyone sick of the Bittersweet Symphony. But weirdly, I'm not.
P.P.S: I bought myself a pair of blue contacts a few months ago for the heck of it. I wore it out last week to give Jay a scare. But he didn't blink an eye. Dang.

Guess what?

I'm blogging!!!!!! *does 23 somersaults*

I've given myself 20 min to temporarily satisfy my blogging needs. That's all I can afford in the midst of juggling work while I struggle to have my meals and squeeze a minute or 2 out of my precious time to pee or tie my hair up to allow to me work even faster. NOT! I'm, in truth, as free as a big brown, mean birdie. Noone's in the office today and my work's more or less done, so here I am!

Let's see...what pressing matter do I have that requires your urgent scrutiny? *ponders* Oh oh oh. What do you guys think Jay shld wear for the R.O.M? I'm wearing a really simple gown. OHWAITLUNCHISHERE!BRB!

Ah...the yummy McSpicy was gooood. Those Fiery Nuggets are crap tho. Waste of my money ah. Cld have ordered more fries instead. But that'll be too many fries. Mmm. I shall forgo dinner today. I've had a LOT to eat, and my apple pie awaits consumption. That's enough Dhanya!! Do you want to look like an indian Aretha Franklin on your wedding day? I think NOT!!

Oh yes, back to the wedding and Jay's outfit. Any suggestions ppl? Besides a suit(coat, pants & shirt ensemble) tho, cos Jay doesn't wanna wear one, for some reason. Maybe cos he'll feel too hot in it? Beads of perspiration glistening on the forehead wldn't look too pretty in the photos I suppose. If you've got any ideas, pls let me know? Cos the fiance's leaving clothing matters to me like I requested, but is being a wee bit stubborn abt not wearing a suit. And that doesn't help me cos HELLO, WHAT FASHION CHOICES DO GROOMS HAVE ANYWAY??!!

Maybe just a really good silk shirt and fantastic pants will do. More like, will HAVE to do. Don't blame me if your clothes don't stand out from the rest's, mister!

Well. As fun as it has been letting words from my nonsensical mind flow, I've to leave. See, I'm way past the 20min limit, even after subtracting away the length of my lunch hour. I shan't leave with the corners of that mouth facing downwards tho. Here're some pictures to brighten up my much dreaded(by you, ofcos) temporary departure. Till I'm mind-bogglingly free again, toodles!! Oh, and click on the images for their btr versions. =)

At the temple at Seremban. I'm not holding that lamp to pose for the shot, y'know. It's this Malayalam tradition at weddings to have a line of young, unmarried girls to walk in before the bride(or groom?) does; something like how bridesmaids do at western wedding ceremonies. I love this shot! See my cousin behind, in red, grinning away. Isn't she pretty?! And look at that small fry imitating me to my right!

That's Liying(doesn't she look like Jackie Chan?), me, and Kay.

More of us!

The 2007 male additions to Gouresan Nair's family. :))) And that's Appu's little hand right there!

My cousin's getting married in Seremban in a few days. So, off I go to give my super-important blessings!

It's 4.15pm and we shld have left by 4. Ah, don't shake your head; you know it's normal. Gouresan Nair's family. If we ain't late, you ain't seeing the sky blue. *nods and chews on some chewy thing*

Don't miss me.

So what's new with me?

- I'm moving. To another house to live in, I mean. With my folks! There is SO much to finish, like packing and throwing un-needed stuff away(my mom's going mad and is urging me go nuts too). Problem is, I'm kinda attached to my belongings, especially the books. But there's no way I giving my St.Claire's away! Or my coming-of-age reads! They're comforting, really.

- As you probably know, I'm going to the Stereophonics concert! It'd be my very first big crowd kinda concert, not counting the chinese new year and racial harmony day ones in school way back cos they aren't concert concerts, they're not concert concerts. The ticket is a late birthday present from Sashi's mom. I love that lady. I really, really do.

I. Am. So Excited. (!!)

My Ares is working overtime downloading Stereophonics songs. I don't wanna be caught knowing nuts abt the material they're gonna play cos in truth, I only know 3 songs of theirs(Maybe Tomorrow, Dakota and Have A Nice Day). But I shan't fret, as I'll be prepared by then.

Oh my. What am I gonna wear??!

- Can't rmbr if I've mentioned this here before, but I got a new phone a month or 2 back, along with a new number. I love the device, and tho the camera function's not that impressive (2 megapixels), I adore snapping away with it, especially since I've such fantastic things to take pictures of! Besides myself, that is. (Heeheehaw)

These are the fantastic sights I get to see at work. Try not to be too jealous ah!

There're more pictures I want to put up, but both blogger's image uploader and photobucket don't seem to be operating well, so I shall give you guys a continuation tmr. By tmr, you know I mean weeks later. Or never.

I'm going!

Dejavu, anyone? Muahaha.

I love my twinnie's mommy! And my twinnie too!!!

Tuesday, April 8, 2008

I'm addicted to olives. I brought a bottle to work today and gobbled up the whole damn thing (minus the actual glass bottle, ofcos). Everyone was kiiiinda weirded-out. One guy tried it, and almost choked and died, while I watched on encouragingly (and gleefully).

Oh, food at my work place is like... currency. Since I work at such a ooloo area (the nearest bus stop is a 15-min walk away) with no ready access to food centres or coffeeshops unless I wanna hop on a bicycle and ride over to NSRCC which is impossible if you know me well enough (I don't know how to cycle), food is GOLD. To me, at least.

Thank god for the caterer aunty! But a big booooo on her when there's no camp for her to cater for. Oh well.

I'm blogging from work while I wait for my ride home. Yep. I feel a wee bit shameful that I'm doing this only to escape from boredom. Well actually, I wld love to blog a whole lot more, but I'm just too damned lazy to do anything abt it. Except when I'm bored, ofcos!

I declare this post absolutely and completely non-substantial.

I want to go home.

12 Things (you probably didn't know) About Me [it won't be of wedding sarees, Kit! Maybe babies, tho. Mmm.]

1. I think elephants are powerful, yet extremely adorable.

2. I love curves, and I love looking at women with curves. I used to have a smaller waist, and spent a few minutes a day admiring my mid-section.

3. I'm a bathroom singer, actress, model.

4. I love sleeping on the floor tho it makes my hips ache.

5. Flip phones are my favourite kind cos it's very satisfying to end a call with obvious force, movement and noise.

6. I like spending ages at grocery stores and supermarkets, just to read labels and build recipes and pictures in my mind.

7. I often cut my hair myself cos I figure no one'll know my hair and its behavioural patterns btr than I do.

8. Babies make me cry in awe. Sometimes, little kids too. I think abt how little they were and how much they've grown, and that's when the waterworks start.

9. I love minced meat noodles.

10. I can get possessive abt food if it's stuff I love. I share, but if anyone makes a grab for my share of my favourite dish (esp if I've been saving the best for last) I get royally pissed off.

11. I believe men are generally a bit stupid. Or, they just lack the ablity to understand deeply.

12. To me, life's just a long/short period of time where you try be happy/sad before your soul moves on to some other galaxy or maybe, just dies.

8 People I hope will do this:

1. Twinnie
2. Jay
3. Ragani (post on your blog already!)
4. Sindhu
5. Jaswin
6. Kay (same goes to you, backside)
7. Whoever thinks he/she shld do it
8. And whoever thinks he/she shld do it too

Saturday, March 15, 2008

We'll be off in a bit to search for a suitable venue to hold our solemnisation ceremony. 'We' refers to Jay and I, ofcos. The places of promise and interest are Mt Faber, Sembawang Beach, and maybe, Botanical Gardens. Any suggestions?

Be warned, if you suggest Khalsa Association or the void deck under my house, you'll find me slapping you very hard.

Oh oh, did I tell you? I'm gonna be wearing a dress! A light, uncomplicated white/off-white dress. And Jay will be in a suit, but I'm not sure what kinda suit yet. See, as the designer, I need to have a look at the settings and feel the overall mood the actual event will carry to generate an appropriate image in my creative head. *nods*

I can't wait to get to work on my wedding! :-D

God. I am sooooo happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday, my old old fiance!!

I've finally done his blogskin. Go see! In case you can't figure out who that man climbing the Eiffel Tower is, it's Wolverine(whom he likes ALOT). There's still some tweaking to be done, tho. But, he loves it! Or so he says.

He BETTER.

Wednesday, February 20, 2008

Whoa, I'm mad.

I realised I've not blogged for quite a bit, so I decided to clean the oreo crumbs off my hands and start forming hopefully decent sentences and typed www.blogger.com onto my browser. My dashboard loaded straight away without my having to sign in. So I was taken by completely senseless surprise and went, "God...I'm so sorry. I'm gonna come arnd more."

I felt a mix of awe, gratitude and remorse towards Blogger and my blog and that's cos I didn't clear my cookies. Bloody stupid, really.

Starhub's a lousy service provider to have when your work place is at changi area, near the airport runway and golf course(s). I get connected to some indonesian network instead, and it frikkin sucks. Call me at work, and you get that overseas dialling tone. Do keep in mind that you also get a great big slap from my small bony hands. See, according to Starhub, I'll still be charged for the roaming service. If my bill comes to alot cos of the roaming stuff, I'm sooo gonna call them up and demand they pay for their own lousy network's faults. Got the cheek to tell me to switch my phone off some more. Bloody fresh-mouthed female punk.

Ooo, look at the time. *scratches ass*

Saturday, February 2, 2008

'Tonight' is here, my sweetnesses. Teeeheee.

I had loads of stuff to blog abt, but none come to mind right now. Must be the loooong hot shower that's making my eyes glaze over everytime I try to think.

Oh, dance class was like shit for me last Thursday. I hadn't practised for 2 weeks and it showed! My feet were turning directions that it nvr shld unless I wanted to look like a retard and I probably did end up looking like it. A retard, I mean. I must practise tmr! If I have time. I need to be done reading the 8 books I over-zealously borrowed from Bishan Library, after finally paying off my 3+ year old fine which stopped me from borrowing any. Yeeep, you read right; almost 4 yrs of no book-devouring; besides the occasional read courtesy of the bf or dad. Oh, and I've been with Jay for almost 4 years. Making you think, aren't I? Teehee.

I rmbr, when I first met Kamil like, a yr or so ago, part of our convo went like this:

Kamil: So, what do you like to do in your free time?
Me : Mmm. I love reading!
Kamil: Eh, me too! What'd you read last?
Me : No idea. Can't rmbr lah, it's been a few yrs.
Kamil: Err... you like to read? You sure?

And that's when my lameness hit me. Hahaha.

Omg. Speaking of lameness and hitting, I have the lamest bf and I wanna hit him! He's been going on and onnnnn abt Sweeney Todd and him wanting to watch it and how we really shld catch it soon. And he called me just a minute ago to tell me that he's watching it with his buds. The tickets have already been bought, so the poor thing just has no choice but to sit through the movie, really.

*does some extensive eye-rolling*

It makes it worse that yesterday, Sash suggested watching Sweeney Todd together and I, being the absolutely loyal/faithful/wonderful gf that I am, told her I'd told Jay I'll watch it with him, but will ask him if it's alrite if I didn't. I cld almost hear her eyes roll while she went, "Yeah fiiiiiiine, go watch it with him."

There's now no way I'm gonna watch it with him on his 2nd seeing like he wants to. I'm sooo not gonna see the movie with a non-Sweeney-virgin. Cos he don't deserve it.

Hmph.

Will my Twinnie accept this Sweeney Todd-viewer-wannabe's offer of a movie and dinner? If she's a virgin too, ofcos?

*gets on knees and bats lashes*

I will blog tonight! Oh yes I will. I'm a woman of my word, rmbr?

Tuesday, January 8, 2008

Right, I've found stuff to talk abt.

I got molested a week or 2 ago. It happened in the train, and was the most disgusting thing I've ever experienced. It makes the time I almost got taken advantage of by a guy friend appear way less revolting. Well actually it has to be much less revolting as nothing really happened with that friend(?) of mine, tho it was scary as hell.

Anyways. My 'molester' was this big indian fellow who's nationality was hard to discern. He didn't touch me or anything; all that was felt was by his bloody member. From Cityhall to Bugis, he had a ball of a time squashing himself up against my behind and left when I finally decided to turned to face his ugly form.

I know, I shld have raised my voice and screamed at him to get the hell away from me.

But, it doesn't work that way. I wanted to be sure that I was being molested before accusing someone of doing it, as the mrt train was packed, and I mean reeeeaaally packed. So what if before the train arrived, he was staring at me while I walked past him to get to the last cabin door? So what if few minutes later he appeared right behind me? So what if I cld feel his breath on my neck and hair? And so what if in the train, wherever I moved, he turned up right behind, pressing against me, making sure his fully erect dick cld get a good feel of me? I can nvr be quite sure if he's doing it intentionally, right?

No, not right.

If you're a woman, and you're reading this, take my advice. If a man is so close to you, he's pressing up against your ass and you can hear his breathing very clearly while the rest of commuters arnd you probably can't, he doesn't want your number; he just wants a piece of you, as much big a piece he can get while you wonder if you're being molested. Don't be stupid like I was.

He left with a 90-degree erection that showed right thru his loose pants. Another man, a malay middle-aged one, noticed the boner when its owner left and looked up at me with a quizzical and weirded-out expression.

My cheeks and ears were flaming with shame. It was the worst train ride home I've ever had. I kept being glanced at by some ppl, especially whenever I attempted to dicreetly wipe a tear away. The tears started flowing freely once I reached home. My family got very worked up, ofcos. They asked me what the jerk looked like and where I think he's from and all. Also, I got mixed advice as to whether I shld make a police complaint or not, and I'm still not decided abt it.

Ah. Oh well. I know what to do next time. I bloody hope there isn't a next time, tho. But what are the chances that I won't be molested anymore? There're always gonna be crowded areas, and there'll always be deserted alleys and such. While I was fuming at being taken advantage of, I pondered if an increase in the number of mrt trains in operation during peak periods wld have prevented me from being 'used'. I realised that maybe, it wld have, but there's a good possibility that it'd have mattered shit. There'll always be trashy characters arnd. They're among us. We've yet to come up with technology or system sophisticated enough to stop villainous deeds.

It's just up to us to take care of ourselves.

This brings me to talk abt men and their value in terms of security for females. And that's normally security against their own kind, ironically.

Are they really of any use?

Sure, if you've got your boyfriend with you, you probably won't get anyone chatting you up or trying to get too touchy. But what abt prevention of real dangerous occurences? A gang of guys can do anything they like to you, anything at all, even if you had a man on your side. It's easy to imagine; your boyfriend's sending you home and both of you are walking hand in hand, under your block. A big bunch of guys whom were sitting arnd at the senior citizens' corner you passed by a while ago appear seemingly from nowhere, and crush both your souls.

It's so easy. Just like that, you're outnumbered.

It might seem like a stupid reason to not need male company to you, but it kinda makes sense to me. I'm not trying to say that I don't need Jay, or don't want him or anything like that; I love him and need him, but I don't need him to fend off other guys. Cos I personally believe, what hits, hits. I don't see the use one man with me will be. I know, a woman alone is probably more vulnerable than a woman with a man. But I prefer being alone. And I know how to be careful. If I felt the constant need to have someone with me I might as well have stayed a child.

Shall I move on to lighter matters?

I'm getting married. :)

Late July 2008, Jay and I will be lawfully married. I cannot wait. :-D

Ok, I know I'm only 21, and no, I'm not pregnant. Yes, I know what I'm getting myself into. This is something I've thought long and hard abt, and it's the perfect thing to do now, after almost 4 yrs being just boyfriend and girlfriend. I love him, and want him to be mine forever.

He's now my fiance. A super super happy one. :)

I accept congratulations and gifts in advance!!! :-D
What's this space for?

What do I say? I've lots and lots of stuff on my mind that I don't reveal to my closer friends, let alone online. And by that I mean LOTS. All I end up publishing here are my erratic thoughts and my views on things that are more often unimportant than not that make me no different from most girls. Well, actually, I won't entertain the notion that I'm not a typical girl, cos although I don't always follow the norm, I do care abt matters that most females I know do and there isn't much that I'm willing to reveal that wld make me stand out from the crowd. So what good is blogging gonna do me?

None.

Come to think of it, why do I feel the need to blog? Or, why wld I, if I did? What is anyone gonna do knowing the stuff they know abt me? Do they even care? I've ppl from countries I've nvr even heard of at my page. Some of you guys are apparently repeat visitors and mostly surfing from college campuses. What do you come here for?

What brings you here?

Oh well. I can't figure out why I do it. I like to write, so that might be it. My English's gone downhill over the past few years due to my very uncharasteric and therefore downright weird disinterest in actually finishing books I start, and that is a very sad thing. I shld work thru my father's collection of gorgeous works.

Maybe I have a blog cos I want to be heard. For someone who thinks she wants to be heard, I don't have much to say, for now, tho.

Nights and toodles. :)
