My hair is wet. I don't want it to go into stinkland by having it pressed against a pillow. Sigh. Sleepy sleepy.

It feels so beautiful to not have to work on a Saturday. Beautiful. I sure hope it rains 5am onwards; I'll be softly awakened by the pitter-pattering of the rain, and a lazy smile will cross my face as I get lulled back to another bout of uninterrupted sleep. Beautiful. So damned hard to get up and do the bathing and dressing up shit with the whisper of the rain in my ear; "Gooooo baaack to sleeeeep.. to sleeeeeeeep..." When baby stays over, I kiss and cuddle his sleepy form before putting on my make-up. Takes ALL of my willpower to not join him in slumberland.

Oh, and I'm almost always late to work these days. Sigh.

This morning, I was at Bedok mrt station, abt to go down the escalator to the underpass thing that wld lead me out when I heard somebody semi-shout what sounded like my name. Since a lot of stuff are similar to my name when pronounced (come here, am here, the ear, then ya, dumb ya, etc.), I ignored it. It was only when I heard it again, this time louder and clearer and a little familiar, did I turn back and see. All I saw was a blur of colour on the form of a fair girl with long hair. Which means I wasn't wearing my glasses, ofcos. I was still struggling to keep awake and gave my name-caller a really screwed up "WHo ah?" kinda expression. And with the flow of the escalator I went.

As I walked on to my workplace, I started feeling guilty and stupid. Like, imagine how my friend(I'd already established it's a friend i'd probably studied with; it's not like I'm famous) wld have felt. So pai seh, you call somebody and the person don't know you. Something abt her voice was very familiar. And THEN it hit me.

Kit!

She's the only person who pronounces my name the way she does. Dhaan-ya. And so I smsed her and yes, it WAS her! She was amazed I recognised her by her pronunciation. So am I.

One of my sisters is holidaying/business-handling in India. Here's an sms convo from yesterday:
